1 small cabbage; 1 pound (500 g) minced beef; 1 pound (500 g) canned tomatoes; 1 cup shredded cheese; 2 tbsp tomato paste; 1 cup uncooked rice; 2 cup tomato juice; ? cup water; 1 large white onion.

1. Shred cabbage using knife or mandoline. 2. Brown diced onion with minced beef. Drain excess liquid. 3. Add rice, tomatoes, tomato paste, tomato juice and water. 4. Mix shredded cabbage in, season with salt and pepper to taste. 5. Let the liquids get to the boiling point over high heat, then reduce heat to medium, cover and simmer for 25-30 minutes or until rice is tender. 6. Sprinkle with cheese and let it melt before serving.
